Interview by Allen Cardoza and Dr. Melody Foxx
May 21, 2012

Peter Baksa , the author of Think Yourself Young, spoke to Allen Cardoza and Dr. Melody Foxx from Answers for the Family on LA Talk Radio about the necessity of abandoning misperceptions about the nature of life in the quest to slow or reverse the biological trend toward aging.

This is the author’s second book, following in the footsteps of his successful book, The Point of Power, which was well received by literary critics. His first book delves into the physics and biology of the law of attraction. This new book revisits the law of attraction from a completely different perspective: longevity.

Premise of the Book

Although the premise of Think Yourself Young may appear to fly in the face of observed experience, Baksa makes a bold effort to show how this idea is not as outrageous as it first seems. Challenging the assumption that aging and death are inevitable experiences for all human beings, the author discussed the potency of right thinking and intending, dieting, and living a low stress life in changing the process of aging.

Drawing from the argument that our thoughts create our reality, the analogy that human longevity has already increased by 300% compared to the lifespan of the early Romans, and referencing his experience at a Lama Temple in Beijing, China, he progressively led the listener to acknowledge the possibility that aging could be slowed down considerably, and possibly even reversed.

Secrets of Longevity Discovered In A Lama Monastery

During his time at the Lama monastery, where he lived among Tibetan monks who were robust at the age of 120 years, Baksa discovered many secrets to making time slow down. Today, he believes that the secret to longevity is designing a lifestyle that includes many rituals to focus the mind through conscious intent, reduce stress and anxiety through meditation, and rejuvenate the body through a healthy diet and exercise.

Final Thoughts

His book may very well be a must-read for those who wish to take charge of their health and improve their chances of a long, happy, healthy, and productive life. It provides a roadmap on how to avoid self-destructive habits that speed up aging. The first part of his book works on convincing the reader that his idea is actually practical rather than outlandish because it is rooted in evidence that he has carefully gathered. Then the second part describes how to begin the process of thinking yourself young.
