My Fur-ever Family revolves around a litter of Yorkshire Terrier puppies are ready to be adopted. The puppies are concerned about leaving their siblings and Big Daddy. One puppy shares her adventures and how much she longs to be loved and accepted by her new human siblings.
In a world where stress, anxiety, attention deficit, depression, and autism in children has risen to epidemic levels, the loving interactions children experience with their pets is being acknowledged as a powerful therapeutic tool.
At the core of Lisa’s inspiration in writing My Fur-ever Family is her own experience and her work with Emotional Support Dog/Animals (ESA). In our interview, Lisa Overcash will discuss the many lessons in My Fur-ever Family and how ESAs bring comfort and healing to disabled and emotionally challenged children, covering a wide spectrum from social anxiety to depression to autism.

Lisa Overcash is a Wellness Coach, Yoga Instructor, and Thai Yoga Practitioner. She knows what it feels like to be knocked off your game and to try to climb back on top. Lisa shares that she has had multiple sclerosis for 14 years, but it does overwhelm her life. Instead, she chooses each day to rise above the obstacles that this brings.
Though life can be pretty tough at times, she rises above the challenges to be the best person she can be, and make a difference in ways that she can. For every hour of paid wellness coaching time, yoga and fitness classes and Thai yoga sessions, Lisa give away one hour free to make a difference in other’s lives and for people that have trouble paying.”
Overcash also serves in her community in hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, schools, and churches as a Therapy Dog visitation team with her Yorkshire Terrier, Promise.
