SPECIAL GUEST: John Stewart, LCSW

http://www.newhavenrtc.com

Healing from trauma is effectively supported from a holistic process involving meditation, yoga, mindfulness, nutrition, engaged animal care, and experiential activities within the context of the family.  Trauma violates a family system, directly and vicariously.  Healing modalities identified above provide a gift of repair within individuals and the family system.

Join us for a fascinating interview with John Stewart from New Haven Residential Treatment Center, as he dives down into the often neglected fact that relationship is core to the process of healing from trauma.  Trauma violates safety and security whereas a nurturing relationship provides a foundation for a holistic process to be supported.  Family is key to this relationship process.  New Haven believes that a program’s mandate is make those additional steps to provide loving and supported relationships that will successfully facilitate a family’s long lasting healing process.
