In his bid to reunite families torn apart by parental child abduction, Keith Schafferius, the Australian detective, has traveled to all parts of the world. He has even written a book called “Retrieval” that describes his real-life detective stories. His background as an air force man and ASIO spy may have prepared him for his incredible, often unbelievable, retrieval missions His stories are at times heart-rending.
Clandestine meetings with CIA contacts, forged passports, and the threat of being thrown in jail are all part of a day’s work for the Australian private investigator who has reunited over 100 abducted children with the desperate parent left behind.
Schafferius has had a plethora of adventures over the years. He has built up innumerable contacts. He has bribed officials for thousands of dollars. He has been on international wanted lists. And he has found himself in many scary situations, including being chased and shot at by police.
Meanwhile, the American detective Logan Clarke has had his share of adventures. Today he is regularly consulted by the producers and reporters of television programs like 48 Hours, 20/20, 60 Minutes, Inside Edition, and A Current Affair. He has also been featured on many other television shows and written up in magazines like Newsweek. A dramatic rescue in Sudan and the rescue of a kidnapped six-year-old boy brought him international recognition.
Clarke is regarded as an international expert in his field and appears regularly on KABC Talk Radio, KFI Radio and K-CAL Television, in Los Angeles, covering topical subjects such as child abduction, white slavery, occult crimes, gun control, carjacking, and reverse stings.
