2009 Winners of the Grantham Prize for Excellence in Reporting on the Environment, Blake Morrison joins Allen this week to talk about the research that he, and fellow USA Today reporter Brad Heath, did to uncover the major industrial pollution affecting more than 128,000 school playgrounds in and around major U.S. cities.
Their research was integrated into an online “interactive database” that allows people to look up their area to get an estimate of how the air quality at their local schools compares to schools in other communities.
