DON’T TRY TO FIND ME, is a gripping debut novel by Holly Brown, a practicing marriage and family therapist based in San Francisco.  Holly uses her day job experience to create a novel that focuses on very serious subject matter, teen runaways.

From the note on the table stating: don’t try to find me, I’ll be okay, I’ll be better, I love you … you are drawn into the family dynamics that lead to a teens decision to run and his/her parents’ desperate attempts to deal with self-blame, overwhelming fear and the possibility they may never find and bring their child home.

This is a show you will not want to miss as Holly delves in the warning signs and how parents might foresee and preempt such an event from every happening to them.

ABOUT HOLLY BROWN

Our guest today, Holly Brown, MFT is a licensed marriage and family therapist practicing in the San Francisco Bay Area. She treats a host of mental health and relationship issues. Her blog, Bonding Time, featured on psychcentral.com, centers around the importance of attachment and emotional bonds, and how we struggle to stay connected to our partners, our children, and ourselves.

It also addresses current events and social issues, because in order to raise healthy children, you need to think deeply about what’s going on in the world around us (and them.) Her novel, “Don’t Try to Find Me”, is now available from Harper/Morrow.
