At Vive, we believe that young people and their parents need support. For this reason, Vive delivers a powerful combination of mentoring and parent coaching directly to your family where you live, work, play, and go to school. Therapeutic mentors work directly with young people in their real world setting (whether they are living at home, college, or independently) rather than in an office or controlled environment. Mentors stay connected! They are available not only by appointment but also by email, text message, and telephone for those stray questions, issues, or just to connect. Parent coaches are similarly available to parents in real time and by appointment to provide practical, compassionate support to parents when it’s needed. Vive’s integrated family services have proven effective for teens, young adults, and parents in all stages of life.
PARENT COACHING SUPPORT
While our parent coaches often work in a family setting in combination with a mentor, parents also engage parent coaches just to work on “their own stuff.” Parent coaching is a powerful, comprehensive coaching process for personal growth and relational transformation. Designed jointly with parents, their spouse or partner, if applicable, and the coach, parent coaching addresses specific personal issues and parenting issues, depending on the situation.
EARLY INTERVENTION SUPPORT
Early Intervention Services provide guidance for a teen who has just begun to veer onto an unhealthy track (such as drug and alcohol use, cutting, eating issues, lack of school attendance) or for a teen who needs support through a challenging life event or transition. Vive has helped many families with an adolescent who has recently begun to struggle with behavioral or emotional issues. These families engage Vive as a preventative measure, allowing issues to be addressed at home in the context of the family before they escalate to a point that requires more intense treatment.
TRANSITION AND AFTERCARE SUPPORT
Vive provides Transition and Aftercare Services to teens who have recently returned home from residential treatment, encountered a traumatic event or need support through a transition, and their families. We at Vive believe that when faced with critical transitions, the whole family must work together to support each other in the home environment. For this reason, we integrate therapeutic mentoring for the teen with parent coaching in collaboration with other involved treatment professionals. This team approach maximizes therapeutic benefits and delivers sustainable results.
INDEPENDENT LIVING SUPPORT
Vive’s Independent Living Services support young adults who are or soon will be living on their own. Whether the young adult will be attending university or junior college, working to support themselves, or starting their career after college, Vive offers real world, action oriented support to help the young adult make a successful transition to independence.
