Summer may be a time for parents to enjoy a respite from all the school-related responsibilities, but tell that to their children who are bouncing off the walls or yelling “I’m bored.”

Rich Arum, the After School Program director and Summer Camp director at the Best in Class Education Center in Bellevue, WA, says his organization has taken up the challenge to create a great “To Do List” that keeps kids engaged in learning while filling Summer and other school breaks with fun experiences.

What began as a dream over two decades ago, has grown into an expanding education franchise system, with goals to surpass triple digit locations within the next two years. Hao Lam, CEO and Chairman of Best in Class started tutoring students attending high school classes, and soon found his sessions packed with seniors vying for space to find the best way to pass their exams.

With over 200 instructors nationwide, Best in Class opened its first center in 1995 in the heart of Seattle. Since then, the company has grown rapidly, offering an ever wider range of programs and serving communities across the United States.

Best in Class motivates and helps students K-12 develop comprehensive analytical, math and English skills with programs that emphasize understanding and long-term retention through a tailored curriculum. This attention to individualized needs has helped Best in Class position itself as the industry’s leading provider of complementary education to students in elementary, middle, and high school.

Best in Class believes that its dedicated teachers, like Rich, who have a passion for education, and believe in bettering the lives of children, are its single greatest resources for parents looking for techniques to teach their own children at home.
